Our original family truckster was a late 70's Toyota Cressida Wagon. It was forest green and had the wood paneling. The one defining characteristic it had were these horrible groaning brakes. Every time the car came to a stop it sounded like it was pleading with us to bring it out to a field and shoot it. Who would have thought that it would be considered a classic car in this day and age. Looking back... it was a pretty rad ride compared to all the malaise era LTDs and Caprices.

Intro

Like so many others, my love for cars started when I was a little kid. My first word was "truck" pronounced "tuck" and my dad would fascinate me with tales of driving his Mercedes across Europe and Asia encountering all sorts of wild people. My first experience with a Benz was riding in my dad's rusted out 200. I remember being able to look through the floor at the road and freaking out.

So in the spirit of my dad.. let's start with some images of classic Benzes.
